As I wake, I lay in bed under my warm cozy velvety blanket, attempt to lift my heavy eyelids, hazy thoughts, gloomy sky, a cold breeze creeps through my window. It’s Monday, the week starts, new day begins. I yawn, stretch, wipe the boogers out my eyes. Lids aren’t as heavy, thoughts aren’t as hazy. The time has come, get up, get out of bed, get the day started. Affirmations, daily motivation. Today I get another change to make my dreams happen.

Day in full swing. Tended to a few business matters, got feedback on first piece, picked up kk from school, followed up with clients. Lunch, what to cook? Or should I buy something? I’ll make pasta, Kk’s Homework, put water to boil. Paint mural? Not today. Get this series into @lbma_x. Would @ronlbma and @a35mmlife like this? Frame paintings. Scan paintings. Breath. Smile. The water is boiling! GO! Day in a life...

Hustle and bustle coming to an end. Simmering down. Deep breath. Inhale, exhale. Relax, regroup. Review. Good day so far. Now it’s time to strategize. Reorganize website. Scout open calls, galleries, shows. Create, Create, Create. Schedule mural session. Commissions. Work on Apple, Despair, new paintings. But first take a second to chill, maybe two.

Monday, today will soon be tomorrow, Tuesday. Made it through one more day. Scarred, bartered, yet still going. The battle with depression isn’t over yet. Won’t win this fight overnight, yet each day is another round. Today I took the win. The fight continues tomorrow. One day at a time. Have to count my blessings. I’m living my dreams. Some days will be nightmares, others blissful dreams. Nonetheless, I’ve come a long way from being a 10 yr old immigrant kid in Venezuela dreaming of becoming an artist. I won’t disappoint him. Not today, Monday, not Tomorrow, Tuesday.
